A troupe of young filmmakers sends Star, their shining hope, out into the world in search of funding. After initial failures she falls prey to an evil producer and is sent off to be trapped in a secret world of haunted mines. Sensing the danger, a mysterious medicine man invites Star's friends to create a rescue ceremony but when they open a gate to the underworld all hell breaks loose. Or maybe just a tiny piece of it.
