New Lou (2018)

Deep in student loan debt, former child star Louie hesitantly returns to Hollywood to make a living the only way he knows how: acting. But Louie finds that the game has changed and the business is much more difficult when your parents aren't driving you to auditions. Broke and forgotten by his fans, Louie must figure out a way to break back into the industry. He follows his friends (Cory, Tru, and Dan) deep into the "gig economy" - bouncing from app to app and meanwhile trying not to let their side hustles define them. New Lou is a coming of age comedy that takes an honest look at the sketchy underbelly of the modern economy, the entertainment industry, and the nightlife scene from the perspective of the people trapped inside.
