The Mystic Nine (2016)

Based on the novel by famous modern fiction writer, Nan Pai San Shu , the a story set in Changsha city in the Republic of China era (1912-1949). The story concentrates on Zhang Qi Shan (William Hong) one of the members the Mysterious nine gate keepers of the old order. When a ghost train unexpectedly pulls into the Changsha train station in the dead of night, filled with the bodies of dead Japanese soldiers, Zhang, must uncover the circumstances behind the deaths and is lead on a path down the mysterious mine outside Changsha city all the while facing challenges both supernatural and from long-time foe, American Jude Kao (Andrew Stokes) The Mysterious Nine was the biggest hit by viewing ratings on Chinese television and internet in 2016. The series also features Chinese television star Zhao Li Ying and pop idol Zhang Yi Xing.
