The Story of Wine (1976)

Hosted by international wine authority Baron Philippe de Rothschild, these programs trace the story of Porto and Cognac, explore the fine points of wine-tasting, and examine the increasing popularity of wine. Later in the series, Host Baron Philippe de Rothschild presents an overview and understanding of the history of wine usage to an explanation and examples of various clarets and aperitif wines, then he introduces the various dessert wines, including how they are produced and bottled. Also, he relates the proper techniques for wine appreciation and judging a good wine, and discusses the general consumption of wine.
