The Grey Area (2019)

Mikey, a young drug dealer with ambitions to be a rapper, lives in a budget apartment with his partner, Hannah and their baby daughter, Lauryn. A visit from psychopathic dealer Buddha and his accomplice, Dino, brings tensions in the family to breaking point. After an awkward visit to Hannah's parents, Mikey cancels the weekend plans goes out alone. At home, Hannah takes pills from Mikey's stash and dies of poisoning, not knowing that they were contaminated. Consumed with grief, Mikey tries to turn his life around so that he can have a relationship with his daughter - but first he must prove that he can live without drugs and regain the trust of Hannah's parents. With an old drug debt raising its head, Mikey finds hip-hop MCing is his only emotional release.
