Bob from Vero Beach

The tropical paradise of Vero Beach is home to HANNAH, a marine biologist who is also the widow of a heroic police officer who died saving eleven victims of a tragic boating accident. Hannah is raising her teenage daughter, ZOE, who is spunky and intelligent but also bitter over the loss of her father. Both mother and daughter are passionate about saving the sea turtles who annually nest in the area, but are being tragically impacted by pollution and poachers. BOB, a friendly but wise-cracking man-fish, enters Hannah's and Zoe's lives after Hannah accidentally hits Bob, a film buff and huge Tom Cruise fan, with her car when he is walking by the lagoon on his way to see "Mission Impossible 12: Assassins Run." Hannah was not paying attention while driving because she was trying to order an Uber for HECTOR and LUIS, two drunk fishermen she was trying to get safely home. Initially Bob appears to be dead, but when he comes to and talks, Hector and Luis are terrified and run into the nearby woods. After a giant alligator eats Luis, Hector assumes that Bob devoured his friend and creates a whole legend about a vicious nine foot-tall "Mermaid Chupacabra" who shredded his fishing buddy. Bob is now a wanted man-fish. Hannah and Zoe must now help Bob get home while also stopping the turtle poachers who are commanded by the evil DR. COTHAM.
