In the movie "Father," Don Riccardo, a young priest, during the regular maintenance of the parish, confides in Don Antonio, an elderly and wise fatherly priest, seeking comfort and a solution to his inner doubts. However, Don Antonio, in complete disinterest, suggests to the young Don to find a new hobby to distract himself. He records his personal diary on tape, understanding the nature of his crisis, which is due to the double love he feels: the love for his vocation and the carnal love. Often in life, these two loves become rivals, and one finds themselves forced to choose. The atmosphere around him changes, and as he prepares to celebrate the Mass, he invites his disciples to sing along with him in an engaging and ironic Rock and Roll musical, a symbol of the explosive emotions that Don Riccardo is going through. Determined to be a good priest, he says goodbye to Chiara, his old friend, renouncing everything that bound him to her, including his tape recorder. Chiara, unaware of its significance, will use the tape recorder and inadvertently record her personal song over the confession tape. The song will be sung by the children from the catechism class.
