Dreams of Glory (2024)

The story of "Dreams of Glory" unfolds in Hong Kong's public housing estates. The main characters, Hong and his brother Wei, grew up separately in mainland China and Hong Kong due to their parents' divorce, leading to conflicting values. Moreover, their mother, Ms. Lee, suffering from depression, further strains the relationship between the brothers. Fueled by their passion for soccer, Hong and Wei join a semi-professional soccer team comprised of a diverse group of rebellious young individuals. Under the firm leadership of Coach Tony, this marginalized group of young people who have been subject to discrimination unite, inspire each other, and collectively pursue their dreams. They successfully overcome numerous challenges and are moving towards entering the Hong Kong Premier League. However, due to financial constraints, the team faces the imminent threat of dissolution.
