After an unexpected New Year's tragedy, a strong bond develops between two immigrants from the Chinese community in the Queens borough of Flushing, New York. Amy and Didi work in a massage parlor, whose name gives the film its title. Uprooted and far from home, they face pain together. The film sensitively portrays the complexities of the immigration experience and the need to create community. This is Constance Tsang's first feature film.
