La boîte (1971)

On his way back from work on the other side of the border, a cyclist is intrigued by a box in the middle of the road. What's it doing there? Has it been abandoned or has it fallen from a vehicle? The cyclist tries in vain to open it. A motorist, accompanied by his wife and daughter, stops. The discussion about what to do with the object begins, and soon escalates. A farmer intervenes, claiming that, since the box is now in his field, he is now its owner. As the cyclist objects the landowner loses his temper, becomes violent and starts hitting him.
