Russians at War is a documentary directed by Anastasia Trofimova, who, without official permission, gained access to a Russian army battalion in Ukraine. The filmmaker focused on gaining the soldiers' trust, learning about their traumas and showing the senselessness of war. The result is a portrait of a disorganized and disillusioned army, unable to understand the reasons for fighting.
