Jaya has seen better days. She is diabetic, has high blood pressure, and lives alone. Nor is her job as a school teacher fulfilling. Now, she lives only for her son, Adi, who has moved to another city for work, and is about to visit home. Jaya spends most of the day preparing for his arrival: cleaning, washing, shopping, restocking. Everything must be perfect. After all, his visit is long overdue. Nothing could excite Jaya more. But something does come close. Switzerland. A chance conversation with a younger colleague about her honeymoon leaves Jaya with a question. What if, she wonders, she too could travel to the mighty Alps? Jaya is excited to talk this out with Adi. Except, he calls her about a change of plans. Adi is not coming. She pleads with him to come. He hangs up. What should Jaya live for? A lethal accident forces her to confront this question again. And out of this confrontation arises a new desire to live for herself.
