Singer-songwriter Harold Murphy has been cutting his teeth for so long he's worried they might start falling out. The Windsor-based musician has a fervent local following in the Rose City, and the scars to prove his pedigree as a touring musician in Canada, but he's pushing fifty now and yet to achieve any wider success. With his battles with depression hitting an all-time low, and his debt hitting an all-time high, an invitation to spend some time alone in a cabin on Pelee Island offers the ailing troubadour a potential catalyst for rejuvenation, struggling as he is to write his next album. As he tries to work amidst this idyllic, rural backdrop, Harold becomes distracted by cicadas, waves, and the noises of his own mind but learns to redirect his energy outwards and, in finally finishing a new song, rediscovers the power of connection.
