Scottish filmmaker Ross MacFarlane travels to California to shoot a true-crime documentary with his filmmaking idol, Jay. However, it appears that the case isn't as it seems. Disappearances, murders, and suicide follow during the production of this film, leading Jay to wonder: Who really is Ross MacFarlane?
