URBANx (2019)

When Marcos, a young, undocumented artist, discovers his older sister is struggling to pay the bills, he seeks out opportunities to help. Caught between the allure of gang affiliation (and the support that comes with it) and his responsibility toward his friend, Francisco, will Marcos walk a "traditional" path or take his chances with the gang to make ends meet? This iteration of URBANx is a proof-of-concept for a "new" coming of age story centered around urban latine youth and the pivotal experiences related to growing up brown in the United States.
