Kawkab el-Sharq (1999)

The film presents an aspect of the life of Kawkab el-Sharq (Star of the Orient), the artist Umm-Kulthoom, since 1944, shedding light on her emotional relationships that were not completed, such as her relationship with the uncle of King Sharif Sabri, which was terminated by the King's decision, and the poet Ahmad Rami, which was one-sided love, then her relationship with the 1952 revolution and her support to it, and her role after the defeat of 1967 and what she offered to the homeland at that time.
