Dylan's relationship had been seemingly ideal, until he proposed to his then partner, Cassandra. This proposal was not only met with rejection, but the complete implosion of his relationship. How could this have happened when things had been going so well? Had there been warnings signs? As Dylan retreats to his own subconscious to cope with his heartbreak, his subconscious quickly personifies Cassandra. Both of them start reliving their shared memories together. As this occurs, Dylan starts to see where he went wrong and how they grew apart. The nostalgia trip proceeds, and the clues pile up. It's now apparent that the signs were always there, and that Dylan had been romanticizing, ignoring or rationalizing every issue he Cassandra faced in their four years together. In the end we discover what led to the downfall of their relationship. Dylan then accepts this, and that the relationship is irreparable. Therefore, he decides it's time to move on. He leaves his subconscious and finally accepts reality for what it is.
