A Device to Save the World (2022)

A famous scientist invents a device that is capable of removing pollution from the world. The device works for a while, and it seems the planet is on its way to becoming healthy again. But the device is intuitive and eventually figures out that to truly rid the planet of pollution, it needs to track down the source that is creating the pollution. The device, of course, realizes that it's the people inhabiting the planet that are behind the Earth's problems. With this realization, the machine reprograms itself and develops the ability to remove human beings as well. Shortly after this new ability is discovered, the machine gets into the hands of a corrupt politician, who uses it ruthlessly to become the most powerful human on earth. Which ultimately does not have a positive effect on humanity.
