Small Things Like These (2024)

On Christmas Eve 1985, in a small Irish village, Bill Furlong, a coal merchant, struggles to support his wife and five daughters. One morning, he discovers dark secrets related to the local convent, secrets that the town, under the control of the Catholic Church, prefers to keep quiet. This discovery confronts him with his own past and revives a repressed trauma, leading him to face a moral dilemma he cannot ignore. The movie stars Cillian Murphy, and it’s based on the book by Claire Keegan.
