Weathering (2023)

This powerful short film written and directed by Megalyn Echikunwoke follows Gemina, a journalist who suffers harrowing hallucinations as she copes with the tragic loss of her baby during childbirth and the trauma of medical negligence. Through the gripping performance of lead actress Alexis Louder, the audience is immersed in a visceral exploration of trauma, systemic racism and gender-based violence, confronting the harsh realities faced by black women in society.
