An artistic documentary that pays tribute to the life and legacy of a young and brave Kosovar female war reporter, poet, journalist, author, and a songwriter. The film follows three characters who embark on a search to uncover the hidden truths of Burbuqe's remarkable life and work. As Kosova descended into war in 1998 and 1999, Burbuqe's courage and determination took her to the front lines as a war reporter, where she reported the news in Turkish language to Turkish News Channel in Istanbul. She risked her life to bring the world the truth about the conflict and the atrocities being committed against innocent people. The documentary takes the audience into a cinematic journey through her earliest poems to her latest, each poem a short fictional movie that invites the audience to delve deeper to the realm that Burbuqe inhabited. "Searching for Burbuqe Rushiti" is a moving tribute to a woman who dedicated her life to pursuit of the truth, storytelling and love even in the most challenging of circumstances.
