The Worst Film Festival Ever (2025)

The story about Alan, who was recently dumped for being too nice, but dreams of producing his own movies. However, when his father Gabriel suffers a heart attack, Alan is forced into running the Bargain basement Film Festival that Gabriel uses as a cynical money maker, following the festival's accreditation from the academy of motion pictures and science. Alan has to hide his fathers condition from the academy appointed Adjudicator and also the quirky film makers and actors hoping to win best film, as winning this festival would qualify them to be considered by the academy. Unbeknownst to them the festival and the best film award has already been paid for by Tugg Speedman, director of several low budget, schlock, horror movies, who has entered with his time travelling gangster movie Gods of Shoreditch. When Alan and Esme, who is Tugg's estranged girlfriend and Gods of Shoreditch co-star; discover a wonderful film by a homeless entrant Iron Mike; Alan will have to go against his father, Tugg and the other entrants to ensure this film wins best film of the festival. However the Adjudicator is getting suspicious and wants the meet Gabriel, the other film makers and actors have worked out the festival has been paid for and Tugg threatens a showdown in an ultimate David versus Goliath battle, with the straight-shooting Alan.
