In the summer of 1991, 11-year-old Lacy lives in rural Western Massachusetts with her mother, Janet, an acupuncturist whose presence is both mesmerizing and unpredictable. Their world is disrupted by three strange visitors. As Lacy navigates shifting dynamics, her vivid imagination begins to blur the line between reality and fantasy.
