A woman trapped in a forced marriage experiences an alternate future in which a neighbor helps her out of her situation, only to realize none of it will exist without the awareness and understanding of strangers, and access to the resources she'll need to be free. I See Her is a powerful and compelling short film which shows precisely how much difference we could make if we knew what signs to look out for when someone is subject to abuse or harassment. It painfully, sensitively but truthfully highlights the power of which educating us to look out for indicators in our friends, neighbors and the wider community can have to completely transform the life of women and girls experiencing abuse or violence. I See Her challenges and inspires us to take action. It focuses in particular on giving a voice to victims and survivors whose lives could follow a completely different path. The more we understand the problem, the better our chances of stopping the abuse of women and girls. No one should live in fear of abuse. If you can see her, you can help her.
