The Girl Who Learned to Swim (2021)

An African American teen is determined to learn to swim after her elder brother drowns in a local lake. Surrounded by haunting hues of blue and water, she is engulfed by his death and can not bring herself to get in the water, much less learn to swim. After getting into a heated argument with her unwavering mother, she meets an inspiring stranger who encourages her to overcome her family's fear of water.
