Gaisrininku legendos (1989)

A fire suddenly broke out in a town that no longer exists. The zealous firehouse chief sends a brigade of firefighters to the blaze, and they go to a waterhole, which no longer exists, to fill the car's tank with water. However, a nasty local bureaucrat refuses to give them water. The fire brigade resolves the unsolvable issue very diplomatically and rescues the distinguished journalist Marina... 'Legends of the Firemen' is a brilliant TV movie from the twilight of the Soviet era, filled with irony, the grotesque, and the absurd, which are still very relevant today. It's both moving and funny.
