Shining Armor (2022)

Jake, a night shift motel clerk, passes the time flirting with his older coworker Amber, the maid. One night, a girl and her older boyfriend check into the motel. As they head to their room, Jake glimpses what he thinks to be evidence of their relationship being abusive, through the glass of the lobby door. Jake calls the police, lying to them in order to get the boyfriend arrested. The cops arrive and Jake's plan succeeds, the man being dragged off to the patrol car. Jake enters the room and starts talking to the girl, hoping for an ecstatic thank you. When he is denied what he is convinced he deserves, he shows his true colors.
