Alexander Paris is a quiet but driven boy. His most coveted dream is to become a top athlete and to run the 100 metres at the Olympics, and he will not rest until he reaches this goal. On a fortunate morning he receives a call from a friend of his father's, Coach Ceel. Ceel summons him to the running course to have Alexander show what he's capable of. Ceel sees the talent and wants to continue to train him. Alexander trains hard and is more determined than ever to reach his goal. He is perceived to be a natural. Rumours are circulating that a sports scout will be attending the training sessions. This inspires and motivates Alex even more to keep up with his training. But suddenly, while facing off against his rival, fellow aspiring Olympic sprinter Cas Hille... Alexander has to be rushed to the hospital. There, doctors give him a surprising diagnosis: Alex suffers from diabetes. Will this end his Olympic dreams and aspirations? How could Alexander possibly cope with this?
