Severed Innocence

It starts off as just another day for Staci Sullivan when a mere knock on the door changes everything. On the other side of the door are Detectives Mark Hesby and Sheila Wilson of the Las Vegas Police Department, with a warrant for her arrest. Seemingly confused as she sits in her jail cell swearing her innocence, Staci is visited by Louis Cavanaugh, a very high priced lawyer from Texas. He informs Staci that he believes in her innocence and that he will indeed represent her. Elated because she's been bailed out and is now free, Staci is also bewildered because she'd never met Louis Cavanaugh, and has no idea of why he's helping her. With the evidence against his client piling up, Louis takes on the task of clearing Staci's name... but why?
