In 1701, Bartholomew Byrd and Edward Teach, aboard a privateer vessel, find themselves captured by the cunning Conquistador, Francisco Cortez, during a battle at sea. To gain their freedom, Bartholomew strikes a deal with Cortez, embarking on dangerous trade missions. Despite planning to leave the life of clandestine trade, Bartholomew's final voyage ends in betrayal, leading to his imprisonment by Cortez in Santo Domingo. Years later, Titus, Bartholomew's son, driven by tales of the sea and his father's legacy, joins Edward-now Blackbeard-in piracy, aiming to rescue his father. Their journey takes them to an enigmatic island, where they encounter Queen Mahajana and the powerful Necklace of the Corridor, a tool and curse for their mission. Despite the necklace's power, Cortez captures them, but the curse backfires on him, allowing their escape. With his father's sacrifice, Titus, now Black Byrd, returns the necklace, facing the vast sea's challenges with his crew and the enchanting Nightingale, charting a course for new adventures and freedom's quest.
