18. The Book of Job

Job is introduced as an incredibly wealthy. God and satan engage in a Supernatural discussion resulting in satan gaining permission to 'test' Job. Job dramatically loses everything and is afflicted with horrific boils. His anguish and despair (and the anguish, frustration and then anger of his friends) define the film. Divine intervention results in God speaking in the longest single 'first person' dialogue recorded in scripture after which Job is restored.
