Hope Dies Last (2022)

France, 1944. After being shot down, Lieutenant Sam Rivers and his men are captured by brutal Wehrmacht rear echelon units. One of the pilots is murdered by a sadistic German Officer. As the pilots are marched into captivity, the German Officer murders a French civilian who tries to help the captives. On a country road, the column of Germans and prisoners is strafed repeatedly by an American plane. In the chaos, Rivers manages to kill all of the guards with machine pistol he picks up from a dead soldier. Rivers and the other prisoners then trek their way through enemy infested territory, in an effort to make it back to Allied lines.
