City Beautiful (2022)

Created and Organized by two Military Veterans, City Beautiful tells the story of a recent High School graduate, Ricky Evans (Markell Mitchell), headed to the Army. Due to the loss of both parents, Ricky had to step up and provide for his family. With very few options available, Ricky became his communities weed dealer. Ricky learns that his girlfriend has become pregnant which motivated him to enlist in the Army in order to provide a stable lifestyle for his people while stepping away from the life of street dealing. Although it is a positive step in the right direction, it does not sit well with his dealer, Joint (Nate Bowers). Now in his late 30's, Orlando "Joint" Long has been selling everything that's available since High School. Orlando's life became disjointed when he spent 6 years in prison for the manslaughter of his cousin in retaliation for the double killing of his brother and father. A former State Champ and native son of the City, Joint now resides at the level of street hustler ready to get it by any means necessary. Though he is always in supply of the latest party favors, Joint has never had a Kingpin's worth of weight bestowed upon him, until that night two weeks ago when Joint and Ricky encountered a tumultuous exchange with Freddy (EMoneyOne11), a higher level street hustler from the other-side. When news of the exchange gets out around town, Ricky's last day of freedom with Joint becomes more than just another day in the CITY BEAUTIFUL.
