Red Funeral (2022)

Bai Lu, a 12-year-old girl in a small village in south of China, is forbidden to attend her beloved grandmother's funeral as she is experiencing her first period. After trailing the funeral procession from a distance she meets a runaway bride and the both of them share a close conversation on bondage and freedom. Bai Lu notices an apparition of her grandmother and ventures deep into the woods to take on her final journey to pay homage to her grandmother which results in closure.
