Open Air Shakespeare A Documentary

The OPEN AIR SHAKESPEARE documentary features numerous plays written by William Shakespeare and directed by Aleta Chappelle, during her 30+ years of organizing performances of the Bard's works. Interviews, rehearsals, backstage scenes, school performances, and clips from various full length plays and films, produced at venues from the Botanical Garden of Lisbon, in Portugal to the streets of Harlem, where the feature film adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet" was filmed. The joys of Shakespeare's works are on full display in numerous nontraditional settings, with diverse and inclusive cast members, who are also a mixture of amateur actors and star talent. "ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE" and this film proves that Shakespeare's works are relevant, alive and well.
