This One Is for You (2022)

This One Is For You is a monologue set to a striptease performed by burlesque dancer Jillian Schmitz. With every article of clothing she removes, she strips away the layers of her journey navigating abuse, depression, body dysmorphia and the patriarchy. Finally, she finds herself in the hospital with an injury and is forced to sit with her feelings. By embracing her authenticity, she discovers the courage to dance again.
