It Wasn't Me (2022)

Andrew Brown, a rapper from Atlanta, GA informs his girlfriend Cari of his bad news of being fired from work. Andrew tried to fight a colleague from work that insulted Andrew and his musical aspirations. The manager fired him for his actions to protect his employees. Cari advises Andrew to learn to control his emotions and offers him her support. She encourages him to stay positive before she leaves out. Later, Andrew is visited by self-appointed acting APD (Atlanta Police Department) captain detective Evans and his partner detective Kim. They arrest him for the murder of the former APD captain Jones. He is the main suspect because the night that Jones was shot Jones had pulled him over. Andrew denies the allegation because he had drove off after he was dismissed and Jones had safely entered back into his car. Andrew realizes that he is going up against a detective who is determined to pin the crime on him. He has to save himself from being convicted.
