The work is a tale about the history of Euclydes Pinto Martins (1982-1924). A pioneer of Brazilian aviation, he was the first to pilot an airplane from New York to Rio de Janeiro. Euclydes was from Ceará. born in Camocim and black. He was a remarkable figure in a time were scientific racism prevailed and the ideology of Brazilian society whitening was present. Like other personalities of the time, the image of Pinto Martins suffered whitening. Few know about his real origin story. With a great entrepreneurial spirit, his death was officially stated as suicide; however, Monteiro Lobato has written a book where his death is told as a political assassination driven by the discovery of petroleum in Brazil.
