Darren (30) attempts to reach an estranged loved one named 'John' but is only able to leave a cryptic message with the tagline "I'm coming for you." Next Darren is driving down a lonely road with no signs of civilization around him. He rehearses lines in his rearview mirror, both nervous and focused. Darren arrives at his destination - a rural home. He bangs on the door and is met with a skittish Suspect with dirty hair and sporting overalls. Darren bribes and asks the Suspect questions but is only told that he "should have never come here". The door slams in his face and he leaves with nothing. Darren is then seen in his vehicle, pouring over what looks to be police paper work and photographs of the grizzly aftermath of a series of murders. A few of the photos are of a beige truck as well. He becomes contemplative and angry, eventually succumbing to sleep. Time passes and Darren awakes from his slumber just in time to see a truck pass him by. He piques up and pursues the truck. The truck is the same beige one from the photos and it arrives at it's destination: a warehouse. Darren infiltrates the warehouse and watches from behind cover as The Suspect emerges from the truck. The Suspect removes from his trunk a victim who is bound and gagged as well as a large wooden chest that is covered in chains and locks. He unlocks the chest and from it a tar-like demon is summoned. The demon approaches the victim and begins crushing his head, prompting Darren to come out of hiding. Darren fires his pistol several times at the demon who takes the shots and then scurries into the darkness nearby. Darren re-adjusts his aim on to the Suspect and demands to be told what is going on. The Suspect explains how he found the chest in the mountains and does not understand how the creature inside it operates. The Suspect only knows that he can "feel" the creature in his mind and it is telling him to bring it sacrifices. The demon reappears and knocks the gun out of Darren's hand. Cornered, Darren looks into the eyes of the demon and miraculously recognizes him as John, the person he's been after all along. At that moment, the demon sets his sights on the Suspect, attacking and killing him instead of Darren. The demon goes back inside the chest. We cut to Darren with the chest in the middle of the desert at night. He lights a cigarette and then sets the chest on fire. He then walks away from it as it burns, tears in his eyes.
