Squatter (2022)

A squatter spends his days cooped up in a decrepit, abandoned house eating ramen. He never ventures out in the daylight and his eyes have become overly sensitive to the sun. His faithful dog lives by his side, his last friend. When the day turns to night, he sneaks out to venture across town to a secret hiding place. Within, he admires his last treasure, something so alluring and intoxicating that it makes him almost drunk with pleasure. However, this nightly routine has taken its toll, and it has yet more damage to deal to his ragged existence. In the ensuing days, his life slowly rots away even more until finally he is a wretched, bent-over creature that holds only a scrap of resemblance to his former life, let alone a human.
