When a man in Flour City steals his horse, Ace's journey towards home turns aimless. Loveless, horseless, and broke as dirt, he takes to the bottle. As he traverses a frigid American landscape entirely on foot, Ace's own self-loathing and commitment to personal destruction threaten to overtake him. Using a short poem as its sole "screenplay." this film is a cinematic exploration of isolation.
