As the conflict at Mont Sorrel draws to a close (late June 1916) two British soldiers, Private Joseph Densmoor (Harry Burke) and Lance Corporal Bill Bray (Thomas Samuel-Davidson), receive orders from their commanding officer, Colonel Webb (John Tueart) to intercept a German scout group that is gaining intelligence on British territory in preparation for the Germans to conduct a devastating trench raid on British lines. After surviving an ambush from and shootout with the scouting party, they capture a German soldier named Josef (David Bruckner), with the intention of bringing him back to British lines for questioning. Joseph begins to connect with and feel for Josef, and Bill seems ever-more ruthless. At this point, they must work it out between them. True motives are revealed, their friendship is tested, and their lives hang in the balance.
