In a world where the government is running low on health care resources, The Deliquesce are called upon to execute those Marked by the government as unworthy of further resources. Sean and Adira are loyal Deliquesce members until Sean's daughter Kiera gets Marked during her 9th birthday party. In the end, it will take drastic measures for Sean and Adira to save Kiera from the very system they swore to serve.
