Laura, an aspiring music composer, who after being sexually assaulted by her instructor, Ray, struggles to decide between exposing his crime or remaining silent in favor of advancing her career. Laura's mother, Leticia, works as Ray's administrative assistant, and Ray has agreed to teach Laura free of cost, having identified great potential in her work. The bond between mother and daughter, which is one of trust, and how that bond is broken as a result of Leticia's relentless pursuit of control over Laura's decisions.
