Young Werther (2024)

Werther, portrayed by Douglas Booth, is on a brief detour to retrieve a statue before embarking on a European adventure with his best friend. However, his plans are derailed when he meets Charlotte. As Werther spends time with her, he falls deeply in love. Charlotte introverted and a devoted reader, has taken on the role of caretaker for her siblings since their parents' death. The major obstacle to their budding romance is that Charlotte is engaged to the charming lawyer Albert. The complications mount for Werther, especially since Albert is well-liked by everyone, including Werther himself. As Werther faces increasingly comical challenges in his pursuit of love, Charlotte begins to have doubts about her upcoming marriage. With support from friends, Charlotte is increasingly drawn to the joy that Werther brings into her life.
