Andrzej is a quiet and secretive chair tester with extraordinary power to help him work in a small factory. Every day a man secretly has a crush on the secretary, and his life is made difficult by the chief chair designer. The situation changes when the plant is to produce a new model of the chair, and Witek comes to study at Andrzej - a young, ambitious boy who wants to become a chair tester.
