Yugoslavia: The Guca Festival (1973)

For three days, the old village streets ring with the sound of trombone, trumpet and drum as the various contestants parade up and down in traditional dress. There is plenty for the spectators to see: stalls selling handicrafts, folk-dancing, open-air feasting, and this year, a traditional Serbian wedding formed part of the celebrations.
