The Favor (2022)

Eleni and her boyfriend Jake spend an evening with his parents, Governor Thomas Matheson and his wife Dottie. Conversation with their conservative parents entails discussing recent changes in abortion law which doesn't allow women the right to choose. It's very clear they don't agree on the issue and in their heated debate Eleni breaks the news that she is pregnant with Jake's child. Because Eleni doesn't fit the republican governor's idea of the perfect daughter-in-law, Thomas is forced to reconsider his position, exposing his hypocrisy, and seek out the necessary means to help her terminate the pregnancy.
