The story of Fernanda Wittgens, an italian art critic, art historian and museologist. She was the first female director of the Pinacoteca di Brera (the main public gallery for paintings in Milan, Italy), as well as the first woman in Italy to hold the position of director of an important museum or gallery. Fernanda Wittgens was responsible during the World War II for saving countless works of art and hundreds of Jews destined for deportation. A story of feminine affirmation, resistance, civil commitment, sacrifice for art and the lives of others.
