Photographer Eddos unites a thousand young Cubans from a Christian camp in an unprecedented mass photo for visual arts in Cuba. That summed up the last few months of creative obsession: documenting the actions and growth of the Cuban evangelical community. With four friends he ditched the tender grass of Canaan and filled it with gravel. The edge that they were marking with machetes and rakes described familiar curvatures: the boot of the Ciénaga, the belly of Camagüey. The curious crowded off the Island. Eddos climbed on the water tower and helped by the four friends he made the crowd enter the country. There were those who came and soon left. That if there were many people, little space, so much sun, it was better outside. Someone made him come back with that -there is always someone like that- with everyone, Cuba looks happier, that we needed, at least for the photo. Eddos's limited movements hardly offered him millimeter variations of the same frame. The camera shuttered a dozen times. Eddos is, in Cuba, one of the most peculiar young visual artists. The massive performance photographs make it unique; those in which the author not only shutters, but prepares a formation that has meaning and where the photographed is the scene itself.
